I am a cafe and they sent a message about a complaint. When I called they said they only wanted to communicate via WhatsApp. Thank ful for all the other logs here, as then I knew it was a scam

I'm a fishmonger. Received a WhatsApp saying that they bought some fish that was off. I have never received a complaint about bad fish in 33 years of trading hence looking up the number. Ignore and block.

Claimed to have found a hair in my product. When asked for more details, batch number, best before date etc etc they suddenly disappeared!!

Claimed there was a hair in food I asked if bought on Weds essay! They said yes….strange as that’s a day we dont open. I mentioned a type of Food that we didn’t have that day and they said yes! I asked if served by a young lad and again said yes. No young lads working that day! Told them that all answers were Impossible !!

as a new business we do not want any negative feedback. got a text message informing us of an issue. as I was driving my wife tried to call them and was ignored. a few messages later confirmed this was a scam. needless to say that once I started sending them lots of messages ("hello" and "are you there") they disappeared into the ether hopefully never to be heard of again.

I have had the same issue saying there is plastic in the dog treats which is impossible. Thank you for reporting this. It didn't feel right so I Googled the numbe and found this. Is it best to just block them and not engage?

Delete and block this number to make sure they can’t bother again. We also had them trying a contrived story late July 2025. Do not respond to them.

Contacting my business on WhatsApp with complaints and wanting a refund. The information didn't add up. After I asked for the goods to be returned they disappeared. I suspected it was a scam.

I am a small business and I have also just had the exact same people trying to scam me . Someone messaged to say they found plastic in my dog treats which is impossible . They are now harassing me I have reported them to the police to prevent people falling for this . Thank you for whoever has reported this initially if I hadn’t googled the number I wouldn’t have known it was a scam .

Just received a text saying he found plastic in my dog treats which is absolutely impossible!! Glad I googled & found these comments. Called Shawn & asked if I was a certain trader. Don't know where he is based.
