In the past month I’ve had 5 missed calls from 01388 numbers which show as from Bishop Auckland. I answered one and the line was silent so I ended the call immediately. Clearly dodgy as per previous comments. Incredibly frustrating.

I received a call from a woman claiming to be calling from Three Network, offering to upgrade my existing contract to the latest iPhone for £35 per month. As I suspected it may be a scam, I continued the call to understand the approach. She asked for my registered email address and then claimed she had sent a reset email. She instructed me to reset my account password and change it to a specific password (“Discount4040”), stating this was required to apply a 40% discount. She repeatedly chased me to confirm whether I had changed the password, which is a clear red flag. No legitimate mobile provider will ever ask a customer to change their password to one chosen by the caller. When I challenged her on this, she immediately disconnected the call. This appears to be a phishing/credential-harvesting scam targeting Three customers. Do not share any details or follow instructions from unsolicited callers.

He claimed to be from Utility Warehouse after I asked who it was. Said I was due �200 for something I couldn't catch. Sounded like a bait to get more details. Hung up and blocked.
