Like others who reported this number, I also had a similar situation. The woman said her name was Amber Dawson, she told me I had 4 allegations on my name linked to tax evasion and false, that action would be taken against me and that I could resolve it outside of court or in court. She also first directed me to the Court of Appeal website to show this number was genuine. If only I had googled it, that would have saved me a lot of money. Unfortunately, I did pay. She switched the call a few times to other numbers and also sent me a Whatsapp message. At some point I also got connected to her partner-in-crime who identified himself as Ajay Vajrala. I simply wonder how it is possible that they would call from an official Court number and why that number is not getting blocked.

Today, I received a fraudulent phone call from the number 07771336431. The caller claimed to be from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). During the call, they told me that I was involved in a serious criminal offence related to tax and said that legal action would be taken, including possible arrest. They then transferred my call to another number, 020 7947 6195, to make the situation appear more official. While on the call, they instructed me to: Open the HMRC website, follow their directions while they stayed on the line. They repeatedly used threatening language, saying that I would be arrested if I did not cooperate. They then demanded that I pay money immediately to resolve the issue. The person called and threatened that we are not suppose to be in UK for being scamming the HMRC by violating the rules which we never did. They proclaimed themselves are from court and used high accusations words that disrupted me and my family.

I received the call too but unlike rest of people here, I submitted full report to HMRC government website because the phone number used by scammer were actual number of court, only way they could get that is if some staff is involved with scammers themselves or they hack their phone which means that number is compromised.

This number called me claiming to be a Hmrc officer from the court of appeal civil division he knew my name and told me I was breaking the law by having the wrong tax code and that I owed over £900 in tax and I had 4 allegations against me. I have been suffering with mental health and stupidly made the payment to them. Please be aware these people are forceful and sound very convincing to get your money. I’m hopefully going to be getting a refund from my bank after an investigation takes place.

Very rude scammer, reported this number to the Police. Asked £950 and said accounts would be frozen if not paid. btw this number is for the Court of Appeal Civil Division, not the HMRC but they take advantage of the fact that the number is on gov.uk website to look legitimate! Officer Jason Harris 98560lr Called explaining I owed almost 5000 for tax evasion very threating. Said my accounts would be frozen if I didn't pay. Then offered a payment plan when I said didn't have that kind of money.once I searched the number and found this page told him this number is linked to scams and labeled dangerous he hung up. Beware these callers HMRC will always send out letters not call threating you

Said he was from HMRC, officer Liam Patel, that I have to pay an imigration tax as HMRC opened a court case against me, gave me a civil court case nr and a reference, they wanted me to pay on the spot, luckily I did not have internet so I couldn't. He knew a lot of data, seemed very convincing

HMRC called posing as a woman named Pagie Smith, demanding that I owed 3K in taxes and that I had a Warrant out for my arrest, she said to check the official government Website and the number she was calling from was on the website but when I kept asking her questions she got frustrated and hung up, definitely a HMRC SCAM!

My colleague took a call from this number and they threatened to call the police if she hung up. Tried to get her bank details and said she owed over £2k in tax (she is PAYE) She was very upset and overwhelmed and the woman speaking wouldn't let her get a word in edgeways! When I convinced her to hang up she then got a WhatsApp message from the mobile number that it had reverted to! Do not pick up this call or ensure you hang up asap.

Had a phonecall this morning saying I owed 946£, he then proceeded to tell me that I couldn’t call back tomorrow after I spoke to someone , started threatening me telling me police will arrest me and everything will be frozen and blocked, after saying I had under £5 he then said he will speak to someone and call me back, name was Daniel hull,

Called me yesterday threatening if if I end the call fir any reason, immedate arrest of my accounts and deportation/arrest by police dye to fraud as I owe 3k poubds. Started to ask all info ab bank cards incl cvv as they need to check if all my transactions are legal. Once I said I need to end the call to consult my accountant, burst in anger saying she is calling police. Appeared scam!!!

I got a call from someone saying it was from HMRC. Bullying me to pay and threating me to be charged of criminal offence and sending the police. She said I had to pay without seeing any of the evidences. And she didn't want me to pay through my HSBC bank, but Wise or Revolut. Definetly a scam
