I’ve had the same person call a number of times, when I tell them I don’t believe they are who they say they are, they explain they have sent me a text, too the same number. When I challenged them, they put the phone down. Just check your banking app, you will be notified if the bank wishes to contact you. By the way it does sound very convincing however, remember the bank will never contact you, via text or telephone. Just scammers collecting your personal details. Note, they have your phone number and name, they will ask security questions, I.e your date of birth, your post code, house number, then your securing word, PIN number etc. just building up information on you, so they can use it at a later point to pretend to be you. Don’t give them anything, just block the number!

Ignore the SAFE notes. Those users have probably lost a load of money now. This IS a scammers number.

Definitely NOT SCAM, it was indeed Barclays fraud Team about some suspicious activity on my account 🙄 Someone was trying to spend 100 pounds from my card, they froze it now !

Initially texted to advise of they'd stopped a suspicious transaction. Then advised me to look at a following text from another number 07380 283225 asking me "was it you?", answer Y/N. I didnt respond, then a voicemail from 03330046177 asking me to call their 24 hr automated fraud line, using my full name. Guessed it wasn't real. Just scam scum.

Received text message about declined transaction on my account and then asked me to call this number but I called bank instead.

spam, do not return back to their calls or messages - they leave flawless voicemails too knowing your name and surname but be assured they are indeed scammers

Definitely a scam. First they texted it’s the Barclays Fraud Team. Then the next day phoned twice in 2 hours leaving voicemail messages. Now blocked them and stopped phone receiving incoming calls from unknown numbers. So frustrating having to deal with these criminal types.

I received an automated voice claiming to be from Barclays Fraud team asking me to press any key to acknowledge. I realized that its probably a scam call and pressing a key would probably have activated an expensive pay call line. I just terminated the call.
