Pretending to be home care service saying they cover appliances. Using clever tricks for fraud. Report to authorities.

Called saying that they were British Gas and that a bill had been mistakenly crossed with another account. They wanted to send an engineer but needed my meter serial numbers. I said that the engineer could confirm them when they were here. He persisted for a few minutes until I said I was looking up his phone number and then hang up. Very persistent! Be careful!

Scam - They do not give up trying!! Tried on 4 separate numbers over the past 5 days. 01594480807, 01594480602, 01594480763 and 01594480470 - Claiming to be for Eon and asking to confirm meter number as there has been a mix up in the area with two businesses having the same postcode and they will need to issue a refund.
