Scam - They do not give up trying!! Tried on 4 separate numbers over the past 5 days. 01594480807, 01594480602, 01594480763 and 01594480470 - Claiming to be for Eon and asking to confirm meter number as there has been a mix up in the area with two businesses having the same postcode and they will need to issue a refund.

Energy Scam. Pretended to be from Scottish Power. I laughed at him - he swore at me. Foreign guy continued to swear and abuse me. I continued to laugh.

They had all our account details as quoted them all correctly on our bills. !!!! Knew everything. Then started asking if we had re-newed contract even though still had a year to run. Sent away with flea in his ear.

Called purporting to be from E-on and requested our MPAN number for his "Meter Man" to come and check a faulty meter. When advised that a quick Google search on his number suggested this was a scam call, the line went dead. Definitely one to steer clear of!

Same as others. Try to push into a panic by saying they were coming to disconnect a meter and providing details (that are freely available online)

Claiming to be from EDF, we've now said to speak to us you need the password as we don't discuss company details. They rapidly put the phone down so you know it's a scam as the genuine company would have the password. Try it, it's great fun listening to them rapidly hang up.

Called, pretending to be from my energy company seeking information about previous invoices that my energy company would have. They requested my name and had some information about my meter (available online) but were clearly seeking further info - I suspect to deviously generate a new contract without my consent. Avoid.

Claiming to be from Octopus energy billing/accounts (octopus confirmed they are not) Using a random number generator to call with a different number each time. Will ring over and over to try to obtain details which if they were from Octopus they would know the name of the bill payer and only talk to that person. Indian accent. Rang 5 times last week, twice today. I threatened police for harassment.
