Scam - They do not give up trying!! Tried on 4 separate numbers over the past 5 days. 01594480807, 01594480602, 01594480763 and 01594480470 - Claiming to be for Eon and asking to confirm meter number as there has been a mix up in the area with two businesses having the same postcode and they will need to issue a refund.

Caller said she was from British Gas. I put her on hold to check the number and found out it wasn’t genuine. Obvious scam pretending to be official.

Posing as the gas supplier and hounding with calls from every angle they can dig up steer clear its a total fraud

Usual pretending to be from British Gas wanting our meter supply number etc - claiming mix up in postcodes and bills etc - I just strung them along for a while as was in car and had not much else to do

Pretended to be from the gas provider but with all the similar rings lately its obvious they are just fishing for info or pushing sales

The caller pretended to be from the electricity supplier and even mentioned our business name along with the postcode, which made it seem like they had some info on us. But it felt off, like they were trying to sell something or worse, so I hung up right away.

Received a call this morning from this number. The caller said they were calling from Scottish Power, they quoted our company name and post code. Tried to scare me into thinking and engineer could not match our meter reading and that the bill had come to over £3,000. We send in our meter reading directly to Scottish Power and all our bills are up to date and correct. I told them that this was all wrong and put the phone down on them. The subsequently immediately phoned back 5 more times consecutively. I answered the first time then hung up on the other 4. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THESE PEOPLE!
