Yeah, these idiots keep calling me too. My advice is to play along and waste their time. I spent hours providing them false contact and banking details. They got really angry when they kept asking me to confirm the account number. It feels so good wasting their time when then had full intentions of wasting myne / whilst trying to rob me blind .

We’ll just another attempt to draw me into a scam, I work on this theory, hang up during the pause after you have said “hello”, if the call is genuine they will call back immediately- if its some some poor human without any morals he/she can’t hurt you… simply HANG UP.

To those of you that think the DVLA does not give out numbers, think again. Within days of my licence being renewed, the text messages started arriving, wanting all of my details, in an agressive manner. I ignored them all.

I have found a great way to stop this from happening and it’s this! When you get another call from this number, they claim you have an accident within the last two years! Simply say yes I had an accident back in 1989 when I fell down an escalator can I claim for that! They will put phone down and not call back, I did this twice and as yet never received a call about accident claims lol

I did a similar thing. I whined on about my arthritis & how I was trying to get a house exchange, couldnt get an appointment with dentist, doctor. They tried to intervene but I didnt acknowledge their words, i just kept going on about my problems continuously without a break, then i started about my ex marriage.They got so bored they just hung up, but i wasted their time & call.

Received call on my mobile 22.3.16 - caller had my name. Claimed to be from a company that worked with the DVLA and linked to the Motor Vehicle Insurance Bureau. Said that his records showed that I had had an accident in the previous two and a half years (bunkum). Told him his records were wrong - he immediately rang off (before I had a chance to tell him what I thought about him and his ilk.)

I have just received a call from this number claiming to be some sort of motor accident claims company advising me I have been involved in an accident in the last two and a half years. Two calls today alone. Managed to answer both. This company has been calling me for weeks stating that I've been in an accident and they got my details from the DVLA. I keep asking them to remove my number from their database. Tried to make a formal complaint to the complaint to the company but having trouble finding an address. When I do fins them they will be sent a bill for my time. Very rude on the phone and hang up on me without answering any of my questions.
