This caller rang me today, said they could give unlimited calls/texts etc for £15.30 a month. Then she wanted my details, including date of birth, I refused. She said she would send me a confirming e mail. This arrived, and it says Vodafone on the top, but Vodafone they are not! Had this bloke phone from this number saying I was a good Vodafone customer and did I want to go onto a monthly contract for £30/pm. I told him I would need to discuss with partner, to get rid of him, and now he is constantly phoning, and I cut him off, as not sure if a scam.

Been called by this number every day for past week. As with others, soon as I answer, the call disconnects. Luckily, my phone tells me the area the call is coming from as well. Then customer service told you wrong, its a sales team focused on moving people from payg to pay monthly. check vodaphones website and you'll find the number there. Dont believe the propaganda, they arent scammers and if you dont answer theyre legally contracted to ring back.

I just called the number and it is vodafone, it says something like you have received a non urgent call from vodafone, its not nesecarrily vodafone, its there staff., they are doing something called call rolling, which to there managers makes it looks like they have made lots of calls and spoke to lots of customers. Which is illegal, when you call the number you get the option to 'opt out' i have followed the instructions and will update the chat if it works. - caller: 01706398646

Hubby had a couple of calls on 01706 398645 - one digit away from this one. Also claimed to be Vodafone and had a similar message. NOBODY but the Vodafone company has the number of his mobile (apart from family). The number is not registered. So THIS IS BEING DONE BY VODAFONE or by vodafone staff. Be careful what calls you answer. The only way to be safe is not to give out your bank details to ANYONE no matter who they claim to be. - caller: Vodafone

Customer service might have told you wrong. According to Vodafone’s site, this number is for moving PAYG users to monthly contracts. They aren’t scammers if you don’t fall for propaganda. If you don’t answer, they will keep calling as part of their contract. - caller: Vodafone

Same thing with me. Clearly Vodafone are doing nothing about it as it has continued for a year. As everyone seems to be Vodafone PAYG customers our information must have come from Vodafone themselves. I keep getting these calls during working hours. As I teach, I've not been able to answer. However, this evening, twice I've received a call from the same number, twice the call ended as I answered. Hugely annoying as my phone does go to VM. I'm on PAYG with Vodafone and completely dissatisfied with the service I've received. If this is indeed Vodafone, this will be the final straw. I'll be throwing my phone away and taking out a contract with O2.
