Calling our business everyday claiming to be from Ecotricity. We hung up the phone and they called straight back shouting at staff. Dangerous scam call claiming to be from energy suppliers- do not give them any information!

Called said from British Gas, Indian accent, rude and persistent, wanted details and to open an email from him immediately. Definitely Scam, when told i can't access email right now started getting worked up and raising his voice.

A man with an Indian accent said he was from Octopus Energy and they had a technical fault and so were checking my supply number was correct, I wouldn't give them it and so asked them to provide it and I would confirm, which they did. They then asked for further information which I would not give, and asked them for a number to call back. They got pushy and when I wouldn't concede - hung up.

They try getting you to confirm an MPAN NUMBER for electricity BY TELLING YOU TO ACCESS AN INVOICE. DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM THEY WILL SWAP YOUR CONTRACT OVER TO ANOTHER SUPPLIER!
