Am fed up receiving calls from this no. once / twice daily .Never hear anyones voice so cant tell them to do one. Must admit i dont think theyre from vodafone ,since ive been with them for 10 yrs plus and have never any problems.(Un)concerned.

I told the caller I didn't have an account with Vodafone, but they kept pushing for my details. Hung up and blocked the number.

They don’t need to mind readers. Just need to know not to be a nuisance. We all can understand that…surely. No-one likes nuisance calls. Even the nuisance caller should know that.

If you get the pin wrong it changes what they numbers of the pin they ask for. I work for vodafone and can confirm this

Bear in mind that scammers can spoof a legitimate Vodaphone number so that they appear to be calls from Vodaphone. This means that some of the reports that the callers are from Vodaphone may be correct. However, it might be sensible to be suspicious of any caller saying they are calling on behalf of any company. - caller: Not appliable

If you type the number into Vodafones website, a forum pops up which confirms the number. If the caller hasn't gone into your account which they can't do with DPA then it won't show they have accessed your account. - caller: 08080996746

The old 1st and 4th, not recognised, so 3rd and and 2nd. I always tell them to send me a text, as I am deaf, so do not need a telephone upgrade

Called me 3 times in one hour. Finally answered and they asked me for my first and third number of my '4 digit pin' which I don't acctually know. Told yhen 7 and 5 then they said that's correct and wanted my address. Very dodgy. Claimed to be Vodafone - caller: 'Vodafone'

Hi, This is where you give them the 1st and 4th, they then say "I didn't get that, the line is vey bad... let's try again, oops my computer has messed up, can you give me the 2nd and 3rd number AGAIN please . ? " BINGO !! they have all the numbers. There was a tv prog on a while ago where they showed all the methods, some are hard to get your head round, but from a scammers viewpoint they are money in the bank.

Yes it is a scam they want your pin to get a phone upgrade and then they wait for the phone to be delivered and then they knock on your door saying that it’s a mistake and that they have come to take the parcel back

This is not Vodafone, I checked with VF customer service and there is no record of a sales call from them. It is some other company either phising or trying to sell you something. Don't confirm your address and they will drop the call - caller: 08080996746

Took ages to answer after I said hello, then claimed they could do a better deal on my phone guessed was a scam so went along with it to waste their time. We can do 500min unlimited text 200gig for only £35. "Sorry mate you'll have to do better than that" ok £30 then. Naa sorry I've got unlimited everything for £20 a month match that and throw in the latest top end iPhone and iPad and you have a deal. They stated going on about some other rubbish so just said not interested and hung up.

Same thing here, they asked for 2nd and 6th on Vodafone Password... Not even with them and so gave letters F O and came back and said thanks, all gone through and then proceeded to tell me deals... Promptly hung up

Hi this is not a scam it is Vodafone seeing if they can offer you a better deal they ask you these questions to see if you are who you say you are they have been messaging me and emailing me to keep me updated with my package it will be delivered by dpd they work the same way as o2 does so everyone this is NOT A SCAM - caller: Vodafone

Very rudd and pushy. I doubt that they have full access to vodafone database. They asked me about all secuirty details when i declined to give all details they were abusive and hung up.

I happened to be speaking to Vodafone today and mentioned the numerous calls I have had from this number, who when they got through to me today claimed to be from Vodafone and wanting my personal details to verify me before speaking to them - I refused. Vodafone advised this is not their representative and not to give any personal data. It is a scam.

This is a genuine number calling about renewing my contract with Vodafone. Mindful of above advice I at first declined to give information, however what he wanted to know is in the public domain anyway so I answered. I now have my contract renewed 20% cheaper than it was before, with unlimited data. It is being backed up with hardcopy via post. The guy was pleasant and helpful and I am happy with what has happened. - caller: Vodafone

So its Vodafone is it!! I have an account with them and spoke to someone briefly who told me their name but not the name of the company, I informed them that I do not do any business with cold callers but seeing that they had my number they might also have my address so they could write to me. This was a week ago and since then I have received 7 calls twice I have had 2 calls on the same day. I now regard them as nuisance calls and if they persist I will change my provider. - caller: Vodafone

received call today, says calling from Vodafone... Asked for line of address, I said hold on if you Vodafone then you know I have pin set... Of yes I can see that, what's your 1st, and 3rd digits.... Gave them Random numbers as had my suspicions by then. He then goes, that's correct, thank you! Hell it was not, so told him to never to call back. This number has now called our house phone three times over two days. The first time I refused to answer as I assumed it was a call centre. The second time my mother answered and was hung up on. i was just called by these people and I'm only a kid. by the comments I've read I know that they are from vodaphone and call multiple times. Caller falsely claimed to be one of our current suppliers and asked to speak to a particular staff member - who now works in different department. When told he would no longer be the person who deals with telephone services and asked for her "supplier no." (so I could find who the account had been re-assigned to) she claim she couldn't tell me, that she needed the particular staff member to confirm his details first. Obviously it's a phishing scam a some kind. - caller: Vodaphone

Have had two missed calls from this number in recent days. If the general consensus here is that it is Vodafone, all I can put it down to is that I was due to upgrade my EE phone on the 12th July only I got an early upgrade. I received 2 calls from this number within a couple of minutes of each other. The caller said nothing on the first call, then the second call merely said "you're funny". I am currently recovering from an operation - I do not have a vodafone telephone and do not want sales or prank calls from them or anyone else! - caller: No idea

Sick and tired of getting sales calls from Vodafone, especially at work. When I say I cannot take the call as am at work they press on, often yelling as it's so noisy in the background. When I asked who was calling they said Vodafone. A bit of general chit chat, asked if I was happy with the service then a minute later asked which phone company I was with!! I said well, you just told me you were from Vodafone so you should know I am with Vodafone!!! Was asking for pin number and 1st line of address. I said to email me as I didn`t give out information by phone. Next time this number comes up on my phone I will leave him nattering to himself.

Beware - they asked for 'security' for 1st and 4th digit of my Vodafone four digit PIN number then said they were not recognised and asked for 2nd and 3rd numbers. I said 'no' was not providing security info and surprise surprise they pressed on anyway. I think this is a scam - caller: Supposedly Vodafone

They called me twice today, I answered earlier and the person they were asking for wasn't here as their name is saved on my contract. Then said it was Vodaphone but I said they weren't here and then hung up. Then they just called me a minute ago but I refused to pick up as it sounded dodgy so I looked the number up and found this.... - caller: "Vodaphone"
