I do not have a Virgin Money account, received letter asking me to call this number because my address was incorrect? Makes sense right? How'd they send me a letter if they don't have my address? Check this on Instagram, it's happening to others too (https://www.instagram.com/p/DRj28mejuBP/), IGNORE the "safe" markings here, they're probably done by the scammers themselves

Recieved a letter claiming to be from Virgin Money however i dont bank with them. I googled the banks number which came up different to the one on the letter and they confirmed its a scam which is doing the rounds

I phoned Virgin Money security who confirmed the number and letter I received are genuine, and they were tracing all customers as part of the merger with Nationwide. I've now been able to unlock an old bank account which I've not used for 20 years (with Clydesdale Bank that was taken over by Virgin Money) and it had a small amount of money in it!

Legitimate number for Virgin Money Customer Service, checked with the Virgin Money fraud team. The contact was relating to a very old account I had with Clydesdale Bank, which Virgin Money has taken over.

This number is part of the integration journey between Nationwide and Virgin Money. This specific number is for customers who cannot complete the required ID&V and need help, there’s a group of specially trained VM employees who help those customers. I’d also like to point out, a number of Virgin Money employees work from home and have for the past 5 years.

I just rang the Virgin Media fraud department to report this and they said its not a scam. That number is on their system and its a help line for customers of banks that have now merged with Virgin Money. Yorkshire Bank etc. They're obliged by law to contact customers from the banks they have now procured.

Received a letter supposedly from Virgin Money - I don't bank with them - and asking me to call this number urgently. Googled it and found this page. Scary how far these scammers are going these days. It looks legit.

called the number off a work phone. lady answered she didn't answer the phone and introduce herself. she sounded like she was in the middle of making a cup of tea. very vague when i asked who i was calling - and has so far taken 4 minutes to confirm

Received a letter stating that they had tried to send a previous letter but they needed my current home address (odd, as they've sent me a letter to tell me they didn't have my address!!). I don't have an account with Virgin Money, in fact, had no dealings ever with them. Does look real but googled the number and came across all these other comments saying almost the exact same. Be careful, don't call the number on the letter - call their fraud number off their website instead if you're unsure!

I put a post up previously to this saying I felt it was dodgy…. It is Do Not Respond to them I’ve been in contact with virgin money to confirm if it’s genuine, they clarified it wasn’t from them purely because there isn’t any account info on the letter, people if you look closely there’s things missing letter is fake please do not give them any information and ignore the letter as I’ve been told to do so

I got a letter 1. With my old married name on it (my card has my maiden name) 2. I’ve been with virgin money when it was Yorkshire bank 3. Asking to confirm my address (been here 11yrs) 4. I said why haven’t you asked for my security pin or any security questions.. I automatically said this doesn’t seem right and feels very dodgy to me I’m not saying anything more and she told me to go into a branch local to me to change it.. I’m going to take the letter to town asap

I received a letter, very official looking letter, that says it is from VirginMoney, with an address as Sunderland, SR43 4JB, and listing 0800 022 3265 as their phone number. The letter says they have been trying to contact me about my account, and it asks me to call this number. I don't have a Virgin Money account, so I called Virgin on their number for credit card fraud, and they confirmed that this letter is not from them, and that 0800 022 3265 is NOT one of their phone numbers. This is a phishing number which is using a postal letter to lure you into calling them and giving them your banking details. DO NOT call the number.

Received a letter from Virgin money, saying they sent a letter regarding my account, but then said it was returned. They then went on to state that it was important they had my correct address as it was important they got InTouch for info they needed to send me. Then the letter stated the telephone number 0800 022 3265. When I looked up Virgin money Tel number on the web this number does not appear. Do not be scammed by these people...just for the record I have no dealings with virgin money or nationwide or CY bank who was taken over by virgin money. Do not be scammed by this letter and do not use the Tel number.
