Like the previous report I too received exactly the same message as per "I received a message apparently from Barclays giving an OTP to authorise a spend at Argos for £267.19. advised to call 01235 364054 if I had not made this purchase". The sum was identical clearly indicating that the same false message has been sent to multiple users. I did not call the 01235 number which would undoubtedly have caused time wasting if not grief!

I received a text message from this number (07938 375513) telling that my Nationwide card had been used at Argos for a spend of £361.18. "If not initiated by you , call us on 01330492669.(C)". That 01330... number has already been reported as dangerous by several people. Looks as though they could be sending the message from random mobile numbers if I am the first one to report this number. SCAM!
