Just recieved a call telling me I am owed money from a PPI claim the cheque will be posted on 31 July. Can I confirm my details and if correct with their records I will get a second call later today to confirm my claim. accused them of running a scam and they hung up.

Called stating from Financial Claims, ref ppi claim. Stated I was owed some money, asked me to get pen and paper, I said what company are you with and he again stated Financial Claims. I told him I had not made a claim,asking how he had my details, he just replied I have your phone number. I then told him I believed he was committing a fraudulent scam. He said no, it is and put the phone down.
In my opinion he was trying to obtain my personal details _ bank details.
