called twice in a month. didn't think of mobile number can be a scam, (used to be landline) , texted the number and got a reply saying a scammer used this number to call many people. to the person who's using this number, pls report this to your provider and to a new num

Same as other reports. Strung them along for a bit and kept them on the line until i told them to use the email they already had for me. He then got upset and said he would call the police so I told him to. He then called me a f*****g b****h and I told him I had a trace on his line and thought I’d cackle like a witch down the line at him to end the call

Asked how are you doing and then told me they were from Vodafone stating that from today I will be getting 40% off my bills! Needless to say I knew that would be too good to be true so I hung up

These scams often threaten legal action to pressure victims into paying immediately. Remember, the real HMRC would always send you a letter before taking any legal steps. They will never ask for personal or payment details over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from HMRC, hang up and contact HMRC directly using their official phone numbers listed on the GOV.UK website. Stay alert and protect your information.
