Got a call from this number, saying it was fraud from my bank and they had been made aware of a transaction, which they believe to be fraudulent, this has happened a few months back, so I was a little taken aback, anyway, very sophisticated, they did manage to get my DOB however, I was beginning to get a gut feeling, so when asked for the last 4 digits of my pin I gave a wrong number, she continued with asking questions, I said has that gone through okay, she said yes, then I said but I gave you the wrong number, she hung up, but exactly same as above!!!

BEWARE! Very dangerous and sophisticated scammer! Will steal thousands from you if you provide security information or approve any payments within the app. Will sound genuine, English accent, and will manipulate you into giving away compromising information. It's highly likely they have already accessed your bank account and will use information here to gain your trust e.g. "Did you make a payment for £x on this date?" They might ask for numbers from your PIN and password, your customer number, sort code and account number, bank balances, etc. They will put pressure on you to approve what they want e.g. "A payment to Argos for £1800 is leaving your account within the next hour unless you secure your account now by approving this message" This actually gives them permission to send THOUSANDS of pounds from your account IMMEDIATELY! Please hang up and call your bank immediately to report attempted fraud and secure your information!!!
