As per other comments woman other end of the line claiming unusual surge registering on converter.Also said they worked as subsidiary to Solar Edge.Luckily I checked the telephone number on Wi-Fi thanks to your comments I found it was a scam .telephone number 0331885866

We received a call from them today telling my wife that there had been a spike in power generation and they needed to come and test/inspect the inverter. I took over the call believing what they were saying was nonsense. When they asked me confirm my address, I asked what address they had and there response was a postcode which was wrong. I said that was wrong and asked the name on the account which was also wrong. They wanted to arrange a visit but I said I was busy asked them to call back after 2pm. The return call was premature and my wife took the call and agreed a time for their visit tomorrow 10th March. I tried to return the call and cancel the visit but got no answer, but they won't be getting access to my property!!!

Cold phone called my 88 year old mother claiming that they had detected a surge in her solar panels inverter and they needed to send an engineer to check it out - apparently she had been signed up to Sentinel Monitoring Service when the panels were installed 9 years ago. Actually the panels were installed 13 years ago and she had a new inverter two months ago (and personally I think that was a scam as well). When I phoned and said I was suspicious the telephonist just laughed. I think this is just a scam to install a new inverter. If you have solar panels and suspect a problem phone a company YOU know, NEVER accept a cold call.

Scam call to gain access to your house

Just had a phone call from this number claiming to be Sentinel Solar Monitoring working on behalf of Solar Edge & MCF . Said they had detected a moderately dangerous spike in the voltage of my inverter and wanted to send an Engineer round. Having already had a number of companies cold-calling me and sending Engineers out (all scammers giving false information), I was careful to take down their details. Although I did agree to an Engineer coming out I cancelled this after reading the comments above. Last year another company Afusion Finance conned us into buying a Regulator for our system. We have since found out that our system did not need a regulator and that although it is not damaging our system it is surplus to requirements and should never have been fitted. Afusion are under investigation for Fraud by the FCA and Trading Standards.

Had a call from 03331885866. Number had been withheld but I asked for it when Maeia called back. Said she was from Sentinel Monitoring and they had detected a high energy spike on my inverter. I asked if she was just a sales company trying to get me to by more and she said “No, she was part of the MCS scheme. I agreed to an engineer coming out then Googled the phone number and found this site with warnings of it being a scam. I phoned back and Maria answered. I said I don’t want an engineer to call round as I have read you are a scam. She asked where I’d read this so I told her and read out a few quotes. She calmly said “This doesn’t sound like my company”. I’d have expected outrage but she didn’t seem bothered. Anyway, I’m pretty sure it’s a con as I don’t see how her company would have access to detect remotely problems with my inverter.

Cold called my 86 year old mother , gained access to her loft , stated the system was dangerous and required £400 to fix , when her friend turned up he left immediately. On calling the number the women on phone could not give me website address for company , when asked for website ,gave me WWW.Sentinel.S.Monitoring.com which doesnt exist . Seem to not care about scaming , people when i told them about Police action they said they wont do anything anyway

Unsolicited call claiming to be Sentinel Solar Monitoring, having detected a problem with my inverter. wanted to arrange for an engineer to come and check my system. I checked with my installers who said I had not been signed up for this. It all sounded very plausible, but I believe it to be a scam!!

This number given, claimed to be, "our office number" by a scammer pretending to offer solar panel monitoring service having detected a fault on my solar system. (impossible). Scammer called from a withheld number.

Called my brother claiming his solar panels had an “over-rated voltage.” Total scam, no such issue exists. Blocked!
