Cancelled my direct debit to the RAC as l could not get through on the phone and auto renewal had been locked on the app. Received a call on this number and the Rac person on the phone wanted me to confirm my name address date of birth and email address when l refused he said he needed the details to close the account ? He phoned me.

Lady called saying she was from RAC Breakdown cover & could offer cover for any company vehicles. We don't have any so I let he know and ended the call.

RAC calling to renew breakdown cover - annoying but safe!

10-11-2025 caller said he was RAC and my subscription was due soon. He gave me a breakdown of my cover and offered me a better deal than the quote then he told me the last 4 digits on my bank card and asked if I still used the same card. I said I have a new card and he asked for the number so I said i'll have to think about it and I hung up.

RAC as I didn't renew membership, told them with Green Flag as better deal to be had, needless to say boy wasn't happy and wouldn't take no for an answer, his command of the English language was about non existent.

Rang to say card had expired, and I cannot renew my RAC policy on line, I told him repeatedly this was not going to happen and if I cant renew on line then I am not renewing at all, he hung up!

Called identified himself as being from RAC breakdown renewals cover. Checked with RAC with details of the call, as the caller knew a lot of personal information. Advised this call did not originate from the RAC. Likely Financial Fraud.
