Called claiming to be from HMRC. When I said Directors were in a meeting and I'd ask them to call him back, he said he'd call back later and dropped the call. English accent male.

Claimed to be from HMRC doing a business growth survey, asked to speak to finance/ HR (no direct name). When I said I only had an email address for finance department, they said they already had this and ended the call. Weird, definitely a scam!

Asked if I was XYZ Wealth Management Ltd. I said No, I wasn't. She said she was calling from HMRC. I said, well I am XYZ's accountant. She said thanks, and hung up. If she was really from HMRC she would have wanted to talk to their accountant !

Called around the same time for 3 days in a row but didn't leave a voicemail when I initially rejected the calls. When I did answer, a Scottish chap spoke claiming to be from HMRC. I told him that I didn't believe him and that if he wanted any information, he should send me an email. As far as I am concerned, this is a SCAM!!
