They said they were from the bank, they didn't say what the bank was and that some unauthorized payments were made is a lie. It's not true. Scam

Scam saying they are ovo

Definitely a SCAM! They left voicemail saying OVO energy and asked me to call a number which looked geniue. They also text saying that I owe OVO money. But I do NOT use OVO for my current property. I have a fully managed BTL property which I wasn't sure who the energy provider is as it has been fully managed. So I went on OVO website and talked to the customer services and they checked, no account link to my BTL property. Remember scammers use software that changes appearing calling number. But all scams!

This number called me claiming to be from Ovo saying I had cancelled my direct debit. I actually provided them with personal information i.e. name address, date of birth etc but when they asked for my bank detailsin order for them to reinstate my direct debit I saw sense and went to the bank, The direct debit had of course not been cancelled at all. I could have lost a lot of money!
