Came up as suspected spam call so I didn't answer. Judging by the other comments here, that was an accurate assessment.

Again saying they were from British Gas. Had trouble understanding them as very strong Indian accent. They didn’t know where I live or my name. Said to them if you don’t know who I am, how can you sell me something. I played with them for a bit by doing a Tiny Tim impression (3 nearly 6) then got bored and cut them off. They were trying to sell a 3 year old a gas contract. Definitely a scam number. Now blocked.

British Gas need to write to their customers advising of a scam. Wanted an energy adviser to call round to discuss switching to British Gas. Told the person I was already with British Gas.

Call supposedly from British Gas wanting to arrange an appointment for an energy check. Sounded convincing at first, but then became persistent and didn't listen to what I was saying. Eventually, he got the message that I wasn't interested and he put the phone down.

Claimed to be from British Gas trying to get our business. Hadn't done his homework, our village doesn't even have gas. He hung up eventually.
