Phoned stating my sim card was being upgraded from 4g to 5g and my phone would be locked and not be able to receive or make calls after 48 hours. new sim card would arrive following day . called EE after I had hung up and it wasn't them at all. thought she had said Tesco but thought I had misheard her then it was repeated.
