This number rang me and said they were Severn Trent and they were reducing my payment but needed my sort code and account number to set up a direct debit, I said I already have a direct debit he said he needed to set another one up for my new amount I told him that doesn’t normally happen they just write to me and tell me my new amount to pay. I wouldn’t give him my bank details and put the phone down on him.

Call came up as a Southampton. Was told Severn Trent are reducing my monthly payments to £11.99 a month. Got me to confirm name and address and then asked me for my sort code. I refused bit he said that's fine he understands but he needs my confirmation before setting up the new DD. I said Severn Trent have all my details so why is he asking. He then said he could see I was wit a certain bank which confirmed my suspicions as it was the wrong bank. I then hung up. I feel sorry for anyone who falls for this as quite credible

Odd for water outfit recent chat with real one via post and line now this hits timing off.

Faked water team on pipe guard but knew scam bill under owner not me.

Phoned to tell me my insurance did not cover drainage. He did know my name and address but he didn't know who insured me. Assume he is a scammer.
