Asked to verify a large transaction on my VISA card. Knew it wasn't right, blocked the number!
Claimed to be HMRC saying I'd face legal consequences for an unpaid bill. Felt dodgy so I hung up.
Fraudsters! Mentioned a massive Amazon purchase and pressed for personal information!
Same scam reported - got an automated message about a bogus Amazon purchase. Be careful.
They called about an "urgent matter" with my bank. Called my bank directly and they confirmed it's a scam.
Claimed to be hmrc and said they sent a letter. Asked me to press 1 to talk to agent but I hung up.

Phoned 29th November automated message claiming large sum of money taken from my bank acct. Hung up and checked with my bank....everything fine. BEWARE.
Claiming to be Amazon and that my annual prime membership is coming to an end. Even thought I pay monthly.
Caller claimed that my card had been used for large Amazon purchase and to send £1000 to a foreign recipient - all nonsense. They further claimed to be from VISA Security - when asked to prove they were not scammers they rang off.
