I searched and rang a number from the web for 02. During call I explained I wanted to cancel my O2 sim . He was lovely but needed lots of information (including access to my o2 app). As I had rang them, I assumed it was all legitimate. The phone cut out and he rang me back to continue the call. All seemed fine, he said I would receive a valued customer gift to say thank you. I received O2 emails during the call to back up what he was saying. I woke up to 16 emails with things I had bought including a watch, iPhone 16max pro the lot. I rang O2 to explain and this had been a scam and a fraud report had been submitted. I have just received a call from the same guy asking me if I have received my ‘free gift’ and when I told him no and that I had launched a fraud ticket he continued to try to tell me he was from O2 sales and the emails I’d received were just marketing. I asked him to transfer me to the complaints department to which he then hung up. Please be aware!
