Called me few minutes ago ,he know my first name and He introduced himself as the motor company and said that his record showed that I had a car on finance. I am not interested so hung up.

had my name, and when I asked to hold as I was at work they instantly put the phone down. Smells like a scam, and now reading everyone else's comments on hear I''ll be blocking that number

I no longer answer calls from unknown numbers. Previously this number has purported to be from O2 offering me new mobile deals.

One of those where it rings, you answer and the line is dead. I think this happens when they dial loads of random numbers, speak to the first one that answers and leave the rest hanging.
