Cold called. Persistently called me the wrong name, insisted that I gave him information regarding car finance and PPI etc from the past. Said everything was a “free check”. Really suspicious. Hung up and blocked the number.

Claiming to be clean solutions and that they had sorted out my PPI claim that I never put in in the first place
A little worrying that they had my name and address and postcode clearly a scam

I received a call today from someone claiming to be from "My Claims Group" regarding car finance. I informed them that I was busy and requested a callback on Monday. The caller was very persistent, insisting that I didn't need to provide any details other than confirming what he told me. He sent a text forcefully, urging me to check the details & sign it to receive money.
When I questioned the company name, he insisted it was "My Claims Group." Although this name matched a registered company, it was in a completely different industry. He also mentioned checking with their supposed partner solicitors online. He said I could call him back, but first, I needed to sign the text. When I tried to call back, the line was dead.
Be cautious, as this seemed fraudulent, trying to confirm information they may have obtained from elsewhere & wanting my signature on a text link. *DO NOT SIGN IT!*The small print appeared to grant them permission to handle all legal and financial matters on ur behalf.

Claiming to be MCG, or My Claims Group asking if I'd seen in the news about Martin Lawrence and the PCP claims. Said I'd filled in a form a few years ago and I could get a settlement from the car finance mis-selling. Caught him out on lots of mistakes such as Martin Lawrence. Scam, avoid
