For all calls from numbers I don't recognise, I let them go to vicemail and, when the caller hangs up without leaving a message, I know it's no friend. I then search the number to find out whether it's got "history" and invariably it's bad news.

During the last few months "Jane" has rung several times saying that I'm eligible for free solar panels each time I told them to stop ringing me but doesn't stop them

I received at least 12 calls from this number yesterday. Phoned the number to ask them to stop calling. Pressed 1 on my keypad to stop the calls. But not successful. Tried speaking to the girl asked her to stop the calls, she put the phone down in me. The calls kept coming, I did ignore them . Just had 3 calls from them this morning.
