Didn't answer as an unknown number, did not leave a message. Had a similar 0161 number yesterday, which I guess is from the same people

We do not get calls to our landline so any that get through are suspicious. No voicemail message left so clearly suspicious. After further research this is clearly a scam. I did not pick up but as identified by the other poster an automated voice will play if you pickup which will then flag the number as active opening you up to further possible activity at a later time.

Automated voice apparently selling solar panels

Rang this morning on home phone, I kept quiet didn’t say anything then an automated womans voice mentioned eligible for energy saving. Message was very distorted, then if I was a home owner. i didnt reply and ohone call disconnected. Similar call yesterday same time from different number, again automated voice. Reported that call and that has been flagged as dangerous by lots of reports.
