I'm from UK, just recieved a mss saying someone tried to login from Romania, I dont know how they have got in using a number that pops up through legitimate thread of times I have been given verification codes for crypto, and a travel uber style app called viavan. Initially thought it was real but was sceptical to call the number was going to call a friend for advice, decided to type it into Google before I call him and came across this thread. AVOID like the plague. Must be a scam of some sort to pop up to this many people saying the same thing.

Definitely a scam, as others said, claiming to be Binance. Looks like they have spoofed a legit SMS number though which has been used by legit companies like Ring, Whatnot, Lime and Pinterest, so I wouldn't block the number, just ignore the text!

Just got off phone call with these and definitely a scam. I initally thought was real at first and gave my name. Claiming to be from Binance and second I mentioned I googled this number and saw this page saying it was a scam they hung up.
