At 11 am I answered the phone and the caller, an asian woman, told me that my telephone line has been upgraded to fibre and that the old land line would cease in a couple of weeks. I live in a small village and the fibre cable only reches to a cabinet some distance away, so Itold her that Ididn't believe her. This is obviously a scam and when she asked me what my monthly bill is I ended the call.

This number keeps calling me. I rarely answer it but if I do they put the phone down

They telephoned me. Put the phone down as I picked it up. They rang for quite a while: I was unable to get to the phone quickly. The area code is Manchester. No one should be calling me from Manchester. Whenever I get such a call it is always turns out to be from a fraud.
