Calling from o2, Tesco and EE mobile. Said they had all merged and i needed a new sim card. Absolute scam call

Asked me about my roof insulation I said I was OK with that, then she said what lining have I got under my tiles I told her I haven't got a problem with that and she said somebody will ring me up in about half an hour then I said I'm not interested and I put the phone down on her while she was still talking

They ring often and I'm sick and tired of them ringing. Always say they are from an energy company and am I the home owner?

This number called my Dad asked him if he was a homeowner when he said yes they put the phone down. He is now worrying if this number is a scam and could be used to obtain a loan or buying something in his name. I do not know how to put his mind at rest should we report it to his bank
