Said they were from eon next wanting to know if I wanted a smart meter. When I said I wasn't interested the lady became aggressive. Hung up and blocked number.

I missed a call this morning, and then another later. I had a voicemail and then a text about changing my gas and electic meters to Smart. They wanted my post code to see if I was eligible and checked it to say not. They apologised for contacting me and said they would remove me from trheir list, I gave them my post code and name. I thought nothing of this but I'm watching SCAM interceptors on TV and then checked your website.

I did not answer the call, I do not answer any calls where I do not recognise the number so they are wasting there time phoning me. However after reading the above comments I would consider the dangerous

I had a call from 01443 544 971 but didn't answer it, when the answer machine cut in the caller hung up but it did not stop the answer machine, nor could I disconnect from this number I had to cut the power to clear it; This has happened before with these types of calls they fill up the entire answer machine so any urgent family calls get missed. Genuine numbers stop the answer machine when calls end. The so called 'authorities' DO know who rents/buys these numbers and they should investigate and prosecute for harassment or whatever. I do not know from where this call originated - I do not have an 'un-smart' meter although Eon have been pestering me for more than two years now to install one. Regards

Wanted to upgrade my gas and electricity meter. I don’t have gas and a smart meter was installed six days ago. Woman finally said there was a poor signal and she’d have to ring back. I think I threw her by calling a router a modem. Clearly not some doddery pensioner easily exploited.

Don’t answer anything with a Pontypridd number as I know it’s a scam but immediately got a text purporting to be from E.on. Mind you I don’t reply to the harassment letters from the real E.on about SMART meters!

When this number rang me the first time, they said that they were from EON. They were trying to get me to have a Smart meter. I said no thank you. I've had so many harassing phone calls from this number, I just don't answer it anymore.

THIS WEBSITE IS GREAT!!!! I just had a call from this number, they said they were from E.ON and wanted to upgrade my mater to a smart meter... Something was off so I said no thanks and hang up. Then I decided to google the number.... THANK YOU. Looking at the comments here, this is a scam. Someone wrote E.ON Next on Twitter said it's not them, and another comment here called E.ON directly and they said to ignore that number. Other comment said that besides offering E.ON smart meters they offered him Sky TV upgrade. Thank you guys!

Twice a day every day, they get angry when you say no, or say that isnt your supplier,, they even asked if I am interested upgrading my sky tv package, which I dont have.

EON Smart Meter trying to persuade me to replace my gas and electric meters. I don't want a smart meter: the data associated with my hourly/daily/weekly power consumption is private to me, not theirs to harvest and use/sell; all they have a right to know is monthly/quarterly reading for billing. Number now blocked.

About 20 of these calls now. Have blocked it on my landline. Now when the phone rings I ignore it. If no message left dial 1471 then find the area code . Eon in Salisbury comes up on google. Along with the other people who have written a complaint

Ringing daily and sending text messages. I do not answer and I've blocked the number but they still keep trying. They don't leave a voicemail message. Fed up of them now. Eon says nothing to do with them.

Getting numerous calls a day becoming infuriated to be honest.

This number is ringing me on my landline once or twice a day. I do not answer so an automated message is left on my answerphone stating it is from EON Next about putting in a smart meter. The first message was a male voice speaking, the rest has been a female. On one message I could hear voices in the background before the message started. I have just spoken to Eon Next as I am on their vulnerable list and they have told me that this is not a number from Eon Next & not to answer it.

Keeps trying to palm a smart meter on me. The more they try the more suspicious I am about them. Prob is eon as they email me and mail me despite being told I don't want one! I will block the number and recommend everyone else does. Sick of suppliers trying to force them on us.

They rang today 7 times in 1 hour. Luckily my phone shows as scam. Got someone to ring off work phone and the message was "Eon". If can be frightening if this continues as I'm in my 60.s.

I had a call from this number saying they were my energy supplier. But they are not. I have a standard respoce to such calls that goes along the lines of May the flees of a thousand camels infest your a...hole an that of all your colleagues I curse you I course you I course you. I keep repeating this till they hang up

It *might* be a legit call from E.ON Next about installing smart meters. I didn't have much time to talk so said "no thanks" and hang up.
