I had something similar last week. Silence at first, and I suspected a potential scam call. A voice broke the silence and announced they were allegedly from an energy conservation company. It was familiar, almost antipodean. They were asking if I was the house owner etc. I hung up straight away

Straight up fraud pitch on power stuff despite being signed up for the no calls protection thing how do these pests slip past anyway planning to ditch the line provider soon as the deal runs out just fed up with the hassle.

Picked up but got total quiet on their end figured it was bogus after seeing what others said about this kind of thing.

Matches the earlier notes AI voice acting as a local energy advisor when I questioned the area it just stuck to the script obvious fake bot routine these automated pitches ignore questions to keep you looped in long enough to drop personal bits that feed their data grab always interrupt and block to break the flow before it turns into a real push for services you never wanted in the first place

Hit the landline didnt answer checked the code and its Halifax zone even with TPS these annoyances break through anyway gotta stay vigilant

Landline rang from this one skipped it but the area code points to Halifax im on the no calls registry yet these pests still sneak through somehow its frustrating how they ignore the rules
