100% energy scam. Called our business and claimed to be from EDF Energy, asked to speak to our accounts department as there was "a very big issue". Having received the same call last week from a different number and knowing it was a scam, I hung up. The same number called me back immediately demanding to know why I hung up and did I not realise "what a serious issue this is" - basically trying to add a lot of pressure and frighten me. I told him that I'd spoken to him or one of his colleagues previously and it wasn't something I was going to engage in - suddenly it was him hanging up on me! Be wary, as they can have some of your MPAN details, which makes you think it's a genuine call, but it's not.

Claimed to be from Smartest Energy claiming a fault with our meter reading and asking for information from our last invoice. Thankfully I knew our meter is working okay and invoices are being produced to them. I checked who was calling me on here and then told the man he was calling from a scam number to which he replied are you a mother f**ker twice and then hung up. Do not give them any information!!!

Claimed to be eon, same as previous comments mistake on invoice mentioned a company 2 doors away, when i questioned and tripped them up on answers i put phone down and they called back a few times

Beware - claim to be from your Electric supplier and name them. Tried to claim that another near by businesses electric was on our account. Said a meter number and said is that yours. Asked us to give him ours but I said can you send me an email. He asked for my email address and the email I got was a password reset email. Fraudulent no shadow of a doubt!

Not a pleasant person to deal with when you start questioning him and as soon as I said this call is being recorded........... HE HUNG UP

Please see previous emails. Claiming to be from British Gas - David - regarding the meter. Yesterday rang from a different number 0163 498 248. Rude and persistent. This has been reported to British Gas, as predicted they advised not to give any information as both numbers are not related to BG.

These people keep calling us. They saying from British Gas and want me to say what is on my most recent invoice. Like why and like no ways. Block them if you can. I told them that they are a spam call and funny enough they put the phone down. British Gas would not do that would they?

very hard to understand but apparntly need to check my electicity metre number as they have the wrong postcode ? , even though they quoted my postcode You cant phone them back , call wont complete .........i like to call them back to ask how annoying they find it

Same as many of the other comments. They claimed to be from British Gas and seemed to know all our details but when I contacted BG afterwards they had no note on file of any calls having been recently made to us. Clearly scam but for what purpose I have no idea?

The caller keeps ringing our office saying they are from EDF and due to a technical issue we need to provide them with our meter serial number and account information. We have refused to do this and after finding the number on your site with similar comments told them we were reporting them today.
