Contacted us claiming they were from Scottish Power and due to a fault with their system our payments were getting mis-allocated with others from the same postcode. She had details off our account but then wanted to find out if we had renewed and for how long. Cut her off and I could see she tried to call back several times within minutes before I blocked the number.

Told me our meter readings had been submitted to another address and not ours, so needed our meter reading. I told them they had called me for exactly the same thing a few months ago. I asked what their phone number was (even though I could see it) and he said I didn't need it as it was a generic number. Told him that I would ring our actual energy supplier to sort out any issues and he became very rude. I subsequently ended the call.

Said they were from my local energy team offering to help reduce bills, but then started asking about my address and meter details. Definitely not genuine.
