Picked up phone - silence - and then line went dead - obvious nuisance call. Bur what is the use of being ex-directory and being on the Telephone Preference Service when nothing gets done about these phone calls even though we report them. The political party that sorts this out gets my vote!

Siad he was from energy advisory committee. I told him he's a liar, there no such thing and that he's breaking the law as my number is ex directory and on the telephone preference service.

Second call from this number (first a couple of months ago) started going on about how my solar panels need replacing because they cause condensation in loft. Complete rubbish as the original fitter had already contacted us on behalf of our social landlord to do a normal five year check. Have now blocked number.

Did not give the caller any chance to begin their script. My phone flagged it as a nuisance call and that was enough to reject it.

The call disconnected the moment my answerphone started and it looked like one of those nuisance setups pretending to be a sales call. It is not a number I recognise.
