I received a call from some woman with a strong Indian accent who spoke so quickly that I couldn't understand a word, when I made the comment that she would have to start again and speak more slowly and clearly she hung up. The number then went into my BT sinbin!

I had a call from an Asian man asking me if I was the lady of the house and he said that we were cut off yesterday ( he rang from 01768369520) he said it was about the insurance on my washing machine and he needs the sort code for my bank because he said that I have a direct debit and they are giving pensioners a special discount on the insurance, I asked him what brand of washing machine did he have down for me, he then said that I have only got to report a problem with my machine and an engineer will come out to fix it. I then said that I have a new washing machine now so will you please cancel my insurance and he said okay, I have since barred anymore calls from this number because it's obviously a scam.

Indian type accent asking for lady of the house.. I ask why - they said they were from a home appliance company.. I said not interested and they hung up. I blocked the number.
