Had my name and address and said my water insurance was up for renewal. Also said my monthly payment had gone down. I wasn't aware of having water insurance but said I was happy if the amount was going down. When they asked me to "confirm" my account and sortcode alarm bells rang. I explained I wasn't haply giving out detail on the train, so asked them to email my renewal quote. At that point, the caller put me through to her "supervisor". When I queried why they wouldn't send a renewal quote, they hung up on me. Glad I checked here for clarification and will be blocking number immediately.

I would rate the call as cretinous but revealing, in that the caller's conduct showed a great way of getting them to terminate the call. Here it is: After the caller ended their spiel tell them that you didn't hear what was said as your radio was on loud, and would they please repeat it. They disconnected with haste.

Claiming to be from Welshwater saying my insurance cover for plumbing has come down from £15 to £11 then asking if that's alright for me!! I said I didn't need it and she ended the call!!

I Always check on here, it sounds dodgy as I don't know anyone in Bedford, therefore blocked it
