I received a call and received a recorded message (a woman's voice) stating it was from "bank security" and that my credit card had two recent suspicious charges. This was clearly a fraud because the recorded message did not identify my bank (or credit card type).
I have received exactly this same call on numerous occasions (and I always hang up promptly). However the fact that this particular phone number has not previously been identified as a scam shows that the fraudsters are using exactly the same method; but are calling from different phone numbers on different occasions.
