My 91 year old neighbour recieved this call at 5ish today and it's a Saturday they said it was about pension credit. She told them she was busy and they said they would ring back . Staying neutral as neighbour had her wits about her and doesn't trust anyone.

Said they were from DWP but not sure if genuine. The person they wanted wasn't in so they said they would try later. Blocked as I think it was a scam. Definitely iffy🤔

Constantly calling my Fathers care home claiming to be calling from DWP. Asking for him then hanging up. Calling number back goes straight to answer message. Also using same number but ending in 0. Researched numbers coming up as likely scam. Home management are now aware.

Non-threatening and polite. BUT why would the DWP ask the IMF (International Monetary Fund) to do research for them? Don't participate!

The man was polite and non-threatening said he was from IMF doing research for the DWP. I asked how I could prove that and he said I could check the website, which I did not do. I said I would go ahead and he said any questions you don't want to answer just say "no comment". HOWEVER, BEFORE HE EVEN STARTED MY GUT INSTINCT SAID "NO", AND SO I POLITELY ENDED THE CALL. I entered neutral at the start because I didn't feel threatened. I would suggest that no one takes part in the research.

Apparently a survey for dwp but I don't have proof that's the info that was really being sought. I ought to have taken the details but after 45 min of being berated for information in the evening when I was exhausted but hadn't had a chance to eat yet, I couldn't think straight. I tried unsuccessfully to end the call when he sounded frustrated with my answers. He had not told me how incredibly long the survey would be, and given we've not used access to work in about 6 months, the questions were really hard to answer. I couldn't remember. Then at the end he asked for my details including details about my work status snd health/ disability status. I pointed out I was replying for someone else but he still wanted my details, and given the level of mental and physical exhaustion I was by then experiencing, I'd lost my critical abilities and just answered. But I don't feel comfortable. Was it just about access to work, as I felt it was poss about gathering a wider range of benefit info.
