A very insistent woman called and said she was from PL Drains. She said there was a drainage problem in my area and they needed to look at any drains on my property. She wanted to know if I was over 85 and had Power of Attorney or could make my own financial decisions! Looking their number up, I see they have also pretended to be from a company dealing with wall insulation, but now seem to have moved on to drain scams. Just cut the call if they call you.

Pretended to be investigating a drainage problem, Asked questions about the property such as ownership and how long I had been in the property. I asked why did he need to know how long I had been in the property to see the drains and he said he would have to cancel the visit and he said he would cancel the visit to see the drains.

The caller said they were from the company that had put in wall insulation and loft insulation in 2014,. they sounded genuine and arranged for "Lee" to visit my home to check for damp etc. After waitng for an hour at the time"Lee" was due, I called the number and they said they would try to find out where "Lee" was. They didn't phone back leaving me very fed up as I had stayed in for the visit. I still don't know if this was a genuine company, as there is a problem with the insulation?
