One of the most convincing insulation scam calls I have received. Rebecca mentioned the Renewable Energy Database implying that satisfactory installations would be recorded in this. Googling "Renewable energy database" hit the gov.uk site Renewable Energy Planning Database: quarterly extract A quarterly extract of the results of the renewable energy projects monitoring work. However this is all energy installs such as biomass and wind power, no mention of any insulation. And the surveyor would be from Energywise whose website says they are a free, impartial energy advice service designed to help households across parts of England, Scotland, and Wales improve their home's energy efficiency

This number called to discuss my loft insulation (spray foam) I asked how she got the information and she told me I was entered into the data base by the supplier, this was never discussed and I believe it’s another scam

Received a call saying my insulation needed validating. After receiving a variety of calls from insulation scammers, this one stood as as seemingly being the most genuine. Was told that a surveyor would be over to provide a certificate saying it was all fine (even though we already have one from the installer that's official). Like others, Rebecca knew all info. Received a call the day prior to ensure the meeting was still on (to stop their scamming sales team from turning up for a wasted journey) and was told I'd receive another call from someone called Sheldon. The giveaway was when then asked if my wife would also be available for a chat. That's where the scam failed. If you needed a quick look in my loft for a code, you don't need half my family there at the same time. Called Rebecca back and told her I'd realised it was a scam. She started to waffle on about people they'd 'helped', which of course means scammed. I said numbers/lies mean nothing to me and I hung up and blocked.

Rebecca rang us, knew all about our loft insulation. She tried to scare us saying we'd be unable to sell our house if we didn't have her surveyor's certificate, appointment ready for next day....husband hung up and she immediately rang back saying my husband didn't understand the importance of survey and clearance. Tried flattery as well saying we'd chosen the correct insulation and we lived in a lovely area!!

Very force ful on phone pratcally shouting at me Then after I ended call she rand leaving messages saying someone was coming at ten Monday now I'm scared to answer the door

Unfortunately we fell foul to this. Rebecca from Warmup UK called alleging to represent a company employed by the government to check foam loft insulation. She sent an ‘independent’ surveyor round. Foam had to be removed. Paid deposit 2 foreign men turned up in a white van and removed the foam over two days. When we went to pay remaining money due. The bank refused saying believe them to be rogue traders. Still ongoing at the moment but if bank won’t pay we are scared to so seeking legal advice. Steer well clear.

Rebecca Walker called me today, she knew everything about loft insulation, who installed it, the date it was installed. I wondered how she had this information so I googled her number and found other mentions. She sounded very genuine and made an appointment for someone to call and check my loft. After I found this site I called her back and cancelled her 'surveyer' she tried to ask why but I said I had a car waiting and had to go.

100% SCAM. As has been said in other comments, Rebecca Walker, claiming to be from Renewable Energy Database, sounded official, had information. Sent round a woman the next day called Kerry Lynch, from Everything Insulation, very pushy, irritated about answering basic questions and showing ID. Tried to walk in without showing ID, even after I'd asked to see it.

Very pushy, no time allowed to consider my response. They initiated the contact sounding very official as if they represent a Government Department.

A woman called herself Rebecca Walker. I hung up and she later left me a creepy voicemail.
