Out of nowhere, I get a call claiming I’d been ‘mis-sold’ car finance and was owed FCA compensation. He assumed I was eligible before knowing a thing about me. The second I said I’ve never had car finance, he back-pedalled and muttered about ‘updating records.’
He gave no name, no company, no reason he had my personal data. That’s a straight GDPR breach. Not threatening—but intrusive, unwanted, and unlawful.
