Indian scam

This number rings several times every day. No one on the other end whenever I answer. After getting fed up with this I called them back and they claimed to be from O2, calling to see whether I’m getting the most from my service/want an upgrade. I frequently get calls from Indian scammers claiming to be O2 calling with upgrade offers. Although the woman I spoke to was English, I was still a bit suspicious. Before she even told me what they were calling for, she wanted my name (even though they’ve been the ones repeatedly calling me) and requested a code to access my O2 account (which says not to share if someone’s calling you). Bearing in mind the repeated silent calls and this not being an official number on O2’s site, I politely asked them not to call again, hung up, and blocked the number. If this is actually O2, this isn’t a good way to engage with customers. Recommend calling the official number 202 if you want to talk to O2.
