Strong indian accent male pretended to be from the Meter Reading division of Scottish Power - claiming a crossover of meter numbers. They asked me to confirm a meter number they gave me - but gave up as I could not confirm their number.

Scam - claiming to be from my energy supplier. I have had the call every day for a week and i keep hanging up.

Persistent asking about energy information, pretending to be from my supplier when clearly not.

An Asian lady claiming to be from Scottish power, very pushy to get some invoices checked. When I asked for a number to call back on she said 'you cannot call us back' email? nope, can't email them. Asked for her name and she hung up! perfect.

Claiming to be from British Gas lots of waffle wanting to book an engineer to read a metre that's on a smart system. Wanting to confirm account information which i declined as it was an unsolicited call. Not the first time i've had a call like this and it seemed like a phishing call quite pushy and insistent that i check the account meter reference with them.

Scam call centre claiming to be edf

A guy with a very strong indian accent called me this morning, pretending to be from our energy supplier. He wanted information; meter supply number etc. This is the 2nd time he's called in as many days. Definitely a scam!

Spoke to a man with a strong accent. Said he was from Smartest Energy saying they needed to book an engineers visit and needed some of our account details! I said no, he then called back to try to talk me in to it again. I called Smartest Energy (on their customer service number) and they confirmed this is a scam, they wouldn't call out of the blue like that.
The number called us twice yesterday but I'm pretty sure it was the same person who called a few times a few weeks ago from another number.

We think this is some sort of electricity scam trying to get access to your account. Suggest you avoid and speak with your energy provider directly

The female caller was Asian and stated she was calling from SmartestEnergy and when I returned some questions for her she went off the phone for a few seconds then made several excuses and stated she's from the meter reading department not billing so doesn't know the account number or our company name as she kept asking if we were a company who were at the same address 20 years ago

Indian caller named peter, was saying he was from british gas. I have now reported it to the police.
