Had all my details, claimed to be from my credit card company warning me that my card details had been compromised and wanted the code sent by my bank to ‘cancel’ the transaction. Said they would cancel my card and send me a new one. Never had that one before. Very convincing.

A strange man had all of my personal details and was attempting to buy dresses and other clothing from a company called En Femme, to be delivered to an address in Birmingham. It was worrying because he managed to convince me he was calling from my bank’s fraud department.

The voice sounded like a bloke but mad high-pitched. Man rang me saying he’s from my bank, yeah, and he knew literally everything about me, name, address, card details, the lot, so it sounded bare convincing at first. But it was a straight up scam. He was proper pushing for the SMS verification code, moving urgent, trying to rush me and pressure me into it.

I move to UK some years ago for study, so English is not perfect. Important warning: please do not give SMS or mail code to this person. They say they are the bank fraud team, but he/she is not bank. The man/lady call me and say they is from my bank. He already know everything about my name, address, bank, personal details. This make it sound very real and dangerous. He already have my bank card information and try to trick me to give verification code. He talk strong and make pressure. The voice sound like man, but very high pitch. Sound like man after sex change operation. I cannot be sure, but this is how it sound to me. This is scam. Please be careful.

The caller claimed to be from my bank and already had a significant amount of my personal information. They were impersonating the bank and had fraudulently obtained my card details. Under no circumstances should you give this person any verification codes you receive by text message. The caller sounded like a man with a very high-pitched voice, possibly consistent with someone who has undergone gender reassignment surgery.

I was called by a very angry man using a london accent. He was very angry as I didn't believe he was calling from my bank. He was desperate, I could hear it in his voice. I actually felt sorry for him, the poor guy must be failing in life to have to try and steal such small sums of money. He kept calling back after too, I think he might have been being forced to make the call.

Had stolen credit card details and processed a transaction, the called had obtained all personal information from someone/somewhere and was trying to get us to give them the code send from our bank so they could get the transaction approved. Very convincing compared to nearly all other fraudsters.
