Caller claimed there was an issue with a credit card and tried to push for personal and security details. The story sounded rehearsed and aimed at creating panic so information would be handed over without thinking. Nothing about the call felt genuine and it followed the usual pattern of banking fraud attempts.

Banking/credit card scam. says from your credit card company, regarding suspicious transaction, then provides this number which will be with FCA. They had some details of the credit card . One needs to provide details to FCA in order to process repayment . (FCA do not handle fraud repayments, only issuing bank. They rang with withheld number and asked for all sorts of other banking requests. Well spoken English accents . RING YOUR BANK/Credit card provider direct on back of Card and select Fraud section
