This number hasn't called me, but a few days ago this number started calling my friend during school about 30+ times in one minute, we don't even know what their aim was.

Automated voice claims to be HMRC, it said I'm wanted for not paying my tax, second call like this, slight variation on the number that called previously. As I'm not a tax payer it's obviously a total scam.

Literally got 25 calls from this number not even ringing once and ending. Almost crashed my phone.

Same call about legal action against me by HMRC if I don't press 1 and speak to their officer.

Phoned number back and had an automated message saying they were ATLC and had options to press. Didn't press anything and have now blocked the number.

Automated voice saying they are from HMRC and legal action will be taken against me if I don't press 1.

Said they are from HMRC and to press 1. Said letter was returned to HMRC and criminal proceedings were due. Pressed 1. Caller asked for postcode and could give address, though not house number/name. Said I owe income tax of £1800+. Quoted Section 150 of tax code and when I asked for more information, hung up on me. BTW line was unclear (as if from overseas) and accent Indian - though I realise this in itself is not an indicator of the scam. Hanging up on me midway was!
