Rang today on my landline. Said it was Chris a local energy advisor, but not ringing from a local number. I asked how he had got my number, he replied thanks for my time and put the phone down!

Hi I just got t2 calls from this number as im at my elderly mums- I fell for the first one- a woman saying that she was calling from the local government about the energy crisis and cost of living crisis and them taking the fuel allowance off of old people .. I did think eh? But I listened - she went on to say that as they were taking the fuel allowance - that they would be coming around my mums area today to put ' a probe in the loft' and to test the heat leakage from her outside walls. I said no thanks - but then later I got another call from 'chris' dsayn the was coming around to look in the loft...SCAMMing the elderly - I'm glad I was here.

Just got off the phone with someone pushing loft insulation. I told them no, but they kept going on about energy savings.
